North American Beer Brewers Froth With New Capital Investments

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) — Expenditures in the beer-brewing segment are gaining momentum as brewers across North America continue to roll out plans to build new facilities and expand existing breweries. As part of its North American Food & Beverage Industry Project Database, Industrial Info has identified more than 55 project opportunities worth more than $550 million that are in development or under construction. Project values range from $500,000 to $100 million, and startup dates extend to the third quarter of 2013.

Investments at U.S. sites tally up to $492 million and are spread across 54 projects. In Canada, a $35 million modernization of a brewery in New Brunswick is the largest of four projects throughout the country, which total $61 million.
