Brian Logan explores the relationship between alcohol and performance at the Edinburgh fringe festival. He attends a show in a pub, a chatshow in which guests must be drunk, and talks to Bryony Kimmings, who got progressively more inebriated over seven days – all in the name of art.
Playwright David Greig also explains the relationship between alcohol and the creative process. He says one glass of red wine is the perfect catalyst – but anything written after that needs careful editing.
