The Duquesne Brewery is currently working on a Vienna-style lager that will bear the name of the late Penn State football coach, Joe Paterno. The beer, which is being developed with Paterno’s surviving family, will be available starting in August and will sell in 12-ounce cans that has Paterno’s image as well as his career accomplishments.
The beer will be brewed in Latrobe, Penn., the hometown of Paterno’s widow, Sue.
Paterno was fired by Penn State in 2011 in the aftermath of the Jerry Sandusky child abuse scandal.
