In January, your booze — again — becomes a bit more expensive.
The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board is set to increase the “handling fees” charged to wholesalers and the general public. The size of the fee hike depends on the type of alcohol and the size of the bottle, ranging from an extra 35 cents to an extra $1.15 for a three-liter bottle. For a standard, 750 ml bottle of gin, the fee will jump 75 cents, from $1.20 to $1.95.
