Vodka popsicles, mojito snow cones & bourbon milkshakes: Adults only frozen treats taking over NYC bars

Restaurants and bars are gearing up for summer, putting a grown-up twist on frozen treats by injecting them with alcohol.

From spiked milkshakes to liquor-infused snow cones and alcoholic popsicles, mixologists are offering cocktail-inspired icy treats as a new way to cool off, adult-style.

New York’s newly openedĀ Conrad Hotelhas just introduced alcoholic fruit puree popsicles to its rooftop bar Loopy Doopy Lounge, which are served soaking in a glass of prosseco.

Alex Joset, marketing manager at the four-month-old hotel, told DNAinfo.com: ‘It’s simple – adults like alcohol and people like popsicles.’

Roughly 20per cent alcohol, the strong $16 popsicles come in flavors like watermelon and 10 Cane Rum, White Peach and Hudson Baby Bourbon, and strawberry and Grey Goose citron.
