Would Col. Tom Parker have had his own bourbon “Dutch Treat”? How about Brian Epstein sponsoring a Sweet Vermouth? Lou Pearlman’s Bitters? These three men managed in order: Elvis, The Beatles and The Backstreet Boys. Sadly, they missed the era of sponsored alcohol, and can only be jealous of Scooter Braun’s Zodiac Vodka party. It was feted at DTLA’s 440 Seaton on Monday, May 4. In fact, the party featured a time travel theme complete with a DeLorean, so perhaps we could go back through the ages and right that wrong for those music managers who came before Scooter.
The vodka is made in Idaho with their famous potatoes and even has its own “ambassador” — grammy winning Kacey Musgraves. Elvis’ manager would have approved, in fact I can’t think of a more folksy name for a booze then “Col. Tom Parker‘s Bourbon.” If only his bourbon could travel outside the U.S., unlike the dutch stowaway with no passport.
But — would Col. Parker have inspired his own fan fiction, like Scooter? Hmmmm.
