National Rum Day August 16. Get Ready with these cocktails!

August 16 is National Rum Day. In celebration of the day, here are a few recipes from Anchor Distilling, featuring a few of their craft rums from around the world. Enjoy!
1.5 oz fresh lime juice
2 oz Pink Pigeon Rum
.25 oz simple syrup
.25 oz Luxardo Fernet “float”
Add first three ingredients to a mixing glass with shaker and lightly shake with ice. Pour mixture into a Collins or highball glass over ice. Top with Mexican Coke (or any cola as a substitute) and pour Luxardo Fernet on top to float. Garnish with a lime wheel and fresh mint sprig.
2 Luxardo Maraschino Cherries
2 orange slices
1 teaspoon sugar or 1 sugar cube
1-2 dashes of Angostura Bitters
1 teaspoon water
2 ounces English Harbour 5YO Rum
Muddle a cherry, an orange slice, and sugar with bitters and water in a chilled Old Fashioned glass. Remove the orange rind. Add English Harbour rum and ice; stir. Garnish with a Luxardo Maraschino Cherry and an orange slice.
1 lime, quartered
2 tsp fine sugar
Place lime wedges and sugar into an Old Fashioned glass and muddle. Fill the glass with ice. Add Ypioca Prata and stir.
