Bill Foley, owner and operator of Foley Family Wines, announced the purchase of Eos winery in Paso Robles, California. The sale includes: trademarks, case goods and bulk wine for the Eos, Cupa Grandis, Lost Angel and Novella labels.
Eos was founded in the rolling Paso Robles countryside in the mid-1980s by the Arciero family. Today, the winery produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Late Harvest Moscato, Malbec, Merlot, Muscat Canelli, Petite Sirah, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Zinfandel and Zinfandel Port.
According to Foley, “Over the last decade, Paso Robles has become one of the more important winegrowing regions in California. In addition to the stunning beauty of the countryside, Paso Robles has demonstrated a remarkable ability to produce world-class wines from a number of different varieties. Eos is one of the AVAs most significant brands. This purchase gives us an immediate presence in this emerging viticultural area.”
