Miljenko “Mike” Grgich and the team at Grgich Hills are planning two events to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the May 24, 1976 Judgment of Paris, where the wine crafted by Grgich outscored the best of France and revolutionized the wine world. In recognition of his lifetime of achievements, Grgich was inducted into the Vintner Hall of Fame in 2008.

The first event is a Paris Tasting Dinner, 6 p.m. Saturday, May 28 in the winery’s VIP room. After an exclusive reception where the Paris Tasting Chardonnay will be poured, Grgich will lead participants through a vertical tasting of his chardonnays, followed by a multi-course dinner paired with Grgich Hills wines. Cost is $125.

The second event is a vineyard excursion and luncheon on Sunday, May 29.

Attendees will walk the vineyard with Ivo Jeremaz, vice president of vineyards and production and Grgich’s nephew, during this first-ever intimate look at Grgich Hills’ natural farming practices. Participants will start at the winery and then be transported to southern Napa Valley to experience where and how Grgich Hills grows its famed sauvignon blanc and chardonnay, followed by a casual, family-style lunch. Cost is $75.

For reservations, call 800-532-3057 or email hospitality@grgich.com.
