Oh no. Donald Trump Buys Kluge Winery

Once the largest and one of the most lauded wineries in Virginia, Kluge Winery went into foreclosure after owner Patricia Kluge couldn’t pay her mortgage. Local wine fans were disappointed that they were losing some of the best Virginia wine had to offer. But have no fear, likely GOP presidential candidate, real estate mogul, “You’re Fired,” Donald Trump has bought most of the winery. Virginia wine fans rejoice? Probably not.
Trump bought the estate or $6 million, a good deal considering its $28 million mortgage. Trump told the Washington Post he sees the purchase as a great real estate deal, not as an opportunity to continue the great wine making of Kluge. “I’m really interested in good real estate, not so much in wine,” Trump said.
Will the Kluge name stay on the bottles? Please, this is Donald Trump we’re talking about. Any wine the estate makes will now be under the Trump name. Perhaps Trump will also brand his bottles with his face on the label? Maybe he’ll include a pun on one of his sayings? Trump will be adding Trump Wine to his already branded products of Trump Tea, Trump Steaks, Trump Vodka – trumptini anyone?, and Trump Ice – Trump’s branded water.
Trump said he will likely keep Kluge in charge of the operation. “She has a great instinct for wine, which I don’t,” he said.
