Oregon Wine Industry Symposiums: Feb 21-23

The 2011 Oregon Wine Industry Symposium will take place on Monday, February 21 through Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at the Eugene Hilton Hotel and Eugene Hult Center. This year’s program will feature 20 educational sessions in enology, viticulture and business management, Spanish-language sessions in viticulture and enology, and more than 100 industry exhibitors.

In addition, Harry Peterson-Nedry of Chehalem will lead a technical tasting showcasing three flights of age-worthy Oregon whites ranging in age from 5 to 15 years old. The technical tasting will include a discussion with the vintners who made the Oregon white wines.

The Symposium will feature the Annual Awards Dinner where the achievements of Oregon wine industry members are honored. Award-winning chef Jenn Louis of Lincoln Restaurant, Culinary Artistry and Sunshine Tavern in Portland, Oregon, will craft a five-course meal for the event paired with a selection of Oregon wines from across the state.
