Like many of the Oregon vineyards, Rex Hill Winery in Newberg faces some unique challenges. The owners have an older building, which they improved to make it safer. And they have winery space built recently which is up to a tougher code for seismic safety.
Owner and consulting winemaker Cheryl Francis showed KGW around.
They have barrels of some premium Rex Hill Pinot Noir being blended and topped off in the old cellar right now. The winery has grown their A to Z brand to nearly 300,000 cases a year, so they need some big tanks.
