Russia and Lebanon will have a bigger presence than ever at this year’s London International Wine Fair.

Both countries will be represented generically for the first time, organiser Brintex has confirmed.

Russia’s pavilion will host eight wineries from the country’s largest wine producing region of Krasnodar. Abrau Durso – Russia’s leading sparkling winery – will have a separate stand.

Wines of Lebanon’s stand will host eight wineries and feature masterclasses by Tim Atkin MW and Lebanese wine expert Michael Karam.

Atkin said: “Lebanon is one of the wine world’s great secrets. I’m delighted to have the chance to talk about some of my favourites after an inspiring trip to the country, where I was captivated by the people, the architecture, the landscape and of course the best wines.”

The fair runs from May 17 to 19 at ExCeL in London’s Docklands.
