Tickets On Sale June 1 for Sonoma County’s Fab Wine & Food Event

Wine country enthusiasts can make plans to indulge in all of the finest wine, food and festivities at the fifth annual Sonoma Wine Country Weekend set for Labor Day Weekend August 31 — September 2, 2012 as all tickets will be on sale June 1. Sonoma Wine Country Weekend, the premier wine and epicurean event that showcases the birthplace of California wine, is presented by Visa Signature(R).

“Tickets for all Sonoma Wine Country Weekend events will be on sale June 1,” said Maureen Cottingham, Sonoma Wine Country Weekend Co- Director, “Our Labor Day Weekend event continues with intimate winery lunches, dinner parties and barbecues and Taste of Sonoma at MacMurray Ranch. We have a new location for the 20th annual Sonoma Valley Harvest Wine Auction which will be held at Chateau St. Jean Winery, as well as a brand-new Friday night event, the Sonoma Starlight Supper Club at Francis Ford Coppola Winery.”

Produced by the Sonoma Valley Vintners & Growers Foundation and the Sonoma County Vintners, the 2012 Sonoma Wine Country Weekend features the Taste of Sonoma at MacMurray Ranch(R), the Sonoma Starlight Supper Club at Francis Ford Coppola Winery, the 20th Annual Sonoma Valley Harvest Wine Auction at Chateau St. Jean and additional events.

The 2012 Sonoma Wine Country Weekend Honorary Co-Chairs are Sonoma County vintner and grower leaders Don and Margo Van Staaveren, Chateau St. Jean as the Winery Co-Chairs and The Robert Young Family as the Grower Co-Chairs. Proceeds support Sonoma County non-profits; to date the local wine community has donated a cumulative total of more than $11 million to non-profits.
