Winners of the 2011 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition

The SFCWC broke the records with 4,913 entries in 2010 and now in 2011, it continues to uphold the title of the “Largest Competition of American Wines in the World” with a staggering number of entries, 5,050 from 23 states. For eight consecutive years, the SFCWC is able to proclaim that it is the “Largest Wine Competition of American Wines in the World”.
On January 7th, 2011, the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition concluded the annual week of judging at the Cloverdale Citrus Fairgrounds in Sonoma County, California. Wines were awarded as Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Double Gold (unanimous gold by the judges). In addition, there were Best of Class Awards given for each of the wine judging categories, and the prestigious Sweepstake Awards for the top Sparkling, White, Pink, Red, & Dessert/Specialty wines.
